Disability Hackney is a user led disability umbrella organisation jointly established in 1999 by London Borough of Hackney (LBH) and Hackney Council for voluntary service (HCVS). Our main duties has been provision of information and advice, lobbying and campaigning, representation in local strategic committees and provision of training and employment opportunities for unemployment people with disabilities. Our services are intended to integrate people with physical disabilities to society and help them lead their lives enjoying their rights as any normal individual. In fulfilling our goals we strive to involve all sections of society both individual and the corporate sector. In a world where the voice of those who have physical disabilities are a whisper we become the champions of their cause, the crusaders of their rights. We are at your service.
